thoughts for the moment
Some thoughts, which aren't necessarily related to one another:
If you don't know why you're doing something, maybe you shouldn't be doing it.
Fashion as an aesthetic exercise is fine. Fashion as costume to guide perception (work, play, or a play) is fine. Fashion just as consumerism is kind of shallow.
Academia frequently exists to be self-perpetuating. If you forget you're there to learn, rather than to play the game of "academics," you may never escape.
Reverse-sexism is a shitty way to try to be a feminist.
Willie Nelson and Frank Sinatra did a duet together. This is still not the most incongruent duet ever made. In fact, it's rather good if your head doesn't explode from the fact that it's Willie Nelson and Frank Sinatra doing a duet together.
